René OlsthoornRené Olsthoorn is CFO van PontMeyer N.V.

René Olsthoorn (46), CFO van PontMeyer N.V., studeerde Technische Bedrijfskunde aan de TU in Eindhoven en Management Accounting aan de VU in Amsterdam. Na eerst bij Fokker en Svedex in productiebedrijven te hebben gewerkt, is hij sinds 1996 werkzaam bij bedrijven die voornamelijk gericht zijn op handelsactiviteiten: in de papiergroothandel als logistiek en later als financieel eindverantwoordelijke, en de laatste vijf jaar als CFO bij PontMeyer, leverancier van hout en bouwmaterialen aan iedereen die bouwt of verbouwt.

Continu verbeteren is een centraal thema in zijn werk. Met name de afgelopen  jaren zijn er grote stappen nodig geweest om als toeleverancier van de bouw het bedrijf aan te passen aan de sterk veranderde markt.

De onderwerpen logistiek en financiën zijn zeker in een handelsonderneming nauw met elkaar verbonden en dat maakt zijn rol als CFO binnen PontMeyer erg interessant. René is getrouwd en heeft drie kinderen.

 

Michiel Steeman is Professor Supply Chain Economics and Supply Chain Finance bij Nyenrode Business Universiteit. 

Michiel Steeman is an experienced banking professional and has worked for Deutsche Bank, NIB Capital and the past ten years at ING. In his last role he was responsible for product development and strategy for the leasing and factoring operations in 14 countries with almost 3000 employees. He was also Member of the worldwide Executive Board of Factors Chain International for several years. He holds a Masters degree in Financial Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

At the beginning of 2012 he joined Nyenrode Business University with the aim to set up a research group focused on Supply Chain Finance. The research group aims to bridge the world of finance and operations. He is currently developing a serious ‘simulation’ that brings finance, procurement and supply chain professionals together in a joint decision making environment. The simulation is launched under the name: www.thecoolconnection.org  

He is also co-founder of the Supply Chain Finance community that was launched in April 2012 as a joint effort between Nyenrode and Dinalog. The community aims to facilitate and accelarte the developments in Supply Chain Finance. www.scfcommunity.org 

Joost Bergen has many years of experience in international Corporate Treasury, Cash Management and Financial Supply Chain areas. He is owner and  Senior Advisor of Cash Dynamics – a boutique advisory firm – and is involved and responsible for assignments for both the corporate treasury and cash management organization, as well as with the transaction banking and coverage organisation of banks. As an experienced advisor he has worked for many listed and non-listed MNCs, as well as several well-known international banks in Europe, North America and Asia. 

Joost is lecturer for the Amsterdam Business School (UVA), is a business partner of Involvation Interactive and the Cool Connection. He is co-author of the International Cash Management Handbook.
