ISA (the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society) is een non-profit organisatie met wereldwijd 30.000 leden en opgericht in 1945.

ISA-95

De ISA-95 standaard is ook een ANSI-standaard. De ANSI/ISA-95 standaard is geadopteerd door IEC/ISO en de internationale versie is bekend onder de naam IEC 62264. Het Purdue Reference model is als basis voor ISA-95 gebruikt. De ISA-95 standaard is de 95^ste standaard van ISA, heet Enterprise Control System Integration en bestaat uit meerdere delen:

ISA-88

ISA-88 is ook een IEC 61512 standaard en geeft standaarden om een flexibele batchfabriek te ontwerpen en kent ook meerdere delen:

ISA-99

ISA-99 is een standaard die gebruikt kan worden voor de beveiliging van MES.
